Is Variance free to download?
Yes, Variance is free to download on the App Store. Some advanced features may require a subscription.
What devices does Variance support?
Variance is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad). An internet connection is required for account features, leaderboards, and the daily brief.
What types of challenges are in the app?
Variance includes 11+ training modules spanning mental math, number sequences, pattern recognition, reaction-time games, probability practice, brain teasers, firm-style tests, and more.
How does the difficulty system work?
Challenges adapt to your performance level. As you improve, the app automatically increases difficulty so you're always training at the right edge.
What is the Daily Brief?
The Daily Brief is a short in-app newsletter covering quant finance news, market insights, and interview tips — updated every day.
How do I delete my account?
Use the in-app Delete Account flow to delete your account data, synced gameplay data, bug reports, and linked operational records from active systems. Deleting your account does not cancel Apple subscription billing, which must be managed separately through the App Store.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Please email support@thequantprepapp.com with a description of the issue, your device model, and iOS version. Screenshots are always helpful.
